They probably think that the lessons being taught by the local pro at a nearby golf course will be all they need. Television channels such as The Golf Channel and even some golf dvd’s will give teach them all they need to know to improving their game, they reason. They conclude that the monthly golf publications and free advice found on the internet will have them breaking personal scoring records in no time and the costs of attending golf school wouldn’t be justified.

One way to look at the costs of attending a golf school is if you were planning on playing in tournaments that offer prize money. Or, if you just wanted to hone your golf game so you could impress your week-end golfing buddies. The fundamentals of the game, from chipping, putting, the short game, to the correct swing are taught at a golf school. The instructor will teach you how to correct your flaws while at the same time building on your strong points.

You definitely don't want to embarrass yourself even if you just play golf for recreation. Golf is by no means a cheap sport to play. Green fees, cart rental, balls, equipment, etc. are significant expenses you will incur while playing. By spending just a little more, you can have a very respectable golf game.
